Here it is September ALREADY! Ready for fall, cool weather, sweaters, pumpkin lattes and football! On the West Coast it is still hot, hot, hot. It finally broke 91 degrees at our house for the first time in over three weeks. How are you getting ready for Fall?

Leave your neighbors a note that tells them how much joy you find in admiring their garden.

Reusable lunch boxes, containers and bags. It required some intense research, but we have found three great lunch kits for your child to take to school. It fits all requirements: reusable, PABA free, China made free, easy to use for little fingers and reasonably priced.

1. LOCK & LOCK rectangle lunchbox 3 piece set. This is not only a fashionable bag, but has 3 boxes which fit everything.  two 3.3 cup containers (one with dividers) made from BPA-free material.  It is Microwave, freezer safe, top rack dishwasher safe, strong durable, and easy to use and clean.

2. FIT n FRESH: We love that it is all self contained and the ice pack keeps their food fresh even after sitting in a school locker for a few hours. It is so durable and versatile, it has room for yogurt, fruit, chips, nuts, as well as a big box for a sandwich or bagel.

3. Rubbermaid:  There is 1 large container and 3 smaller containers, so I have separate containers for my sandwich, chips, yogurt with fruit, and veggies. Plus it is compact and stays together (everything snaps in to place), which is great because I don’t have a very big lunch tote. Best of all it’s made by Rubbermaid, so I know that I won’t have to replace it after a few uses.  This is a great ideal for not only lunches but bike rides, picnics, and those long car trips.

Stop and think what, why and how you are eating. Are you bored, hungry, post-workout or replenishing? This is a great chart.
