Holiday Fun

Being a Christmas junkie, we try to cram as much holiday festivities in as possible. Usually, I scour the papers, magazines and websites for all the good stuff to do, but this year it has been done for me. No use in re-inventing the wheel!! Here it is, thanks to 365 Things to Do in North County. Christmas Festivities in North County San Diego.  (Just found out they only update this page on Fridays, so if you go in early in the week it will be the previous week’s events.)   Here is another great site with Holiday Celebrations.

This Thursday, West Inn Suites in Carlsbad is having a free open to the public Holiday Open House from 5-8 pm. Santa will be there, sleigh rides, treats, caroling, crafts and holiday cheer.

For those North County dwellers, here are some amazing private homes all lite up and if you are lucky you may see “the big guy” on the weekends. 1. 1639 Knobb Hill in San Marcos, just 1/2 mile west of Knobb Hill Elementary. 2. House on corner of Richland, Borden and Wasatch Pl., next to Richland Elementary in San Marcos.  3. 660 Elm Tree, San Marcos, CA.  4. Dancing Houses at Tesoro Ave and Jay Court in San Marcos, just two blocks east of Paloma Elementary School. Here is a map of all of San Diego County for the most amazing lights.

A couple of extras — ice skating at the Hotel Del in Coronado or Horton Plaza, Quail Botanical Gardens, Sleigh rides through the winery at KeyWays in Temecula and Oceanside Boat Parade.

Let us know which ones you make it to!

I love the web, simply just a moment back I was searching for a brand new pair of shoes and now I am here. So much info at the touch of a hand, it truly is simply incredible.
