Health Tip: Less Sodium in Beans

Rinse canned beans with cold water before cooking to remove some of the sodium used in processing. Add to meals for dietary fiber & protein!  Add beans to: chili, soups, veggie burgers, side dishes (lentils, sauted onions, a hard cheese & olive oil), puree them into spaghetti sauces, couscous, enchiladas, tacos, burritos, rice, pasta salads.
