Exercise for Week of March 29, 2010

Amazing Abs, just in time for summer and the beach! Or if you are really determined, SPRING BREAK?

Bicycle Abs

Forward & Backward

Sit feet on floor and lean back to approximately 45 degree angle. Hands next to you on the floor.  Begin by cycling your legs in a forward motion for a count of 25.  At the completion of 25 reps, don’t let your legs rest, and pedal in a backward motion for a count of 25.

CUES: Be sure to hold your abs tight and remain in a tight 45 degree angle.  Once you start to slouch, readjust and continue pedaling.  Make sure your feet are pushing on the out/down pedal and pulling in on the up pedal.  Do not rest your weight into your hands or wrists.  The hands are merely for balance.  The advanced move here it to lift your hands/arms straight above your head.  This may sound like a “easy” ab exercise, but this is also a grueling quad exercise.

Do this exercise 2 times per day at least 4 times per week.  You will see amazing stamina, quad strenght and beautiful abs.
