1. GREEN -  Here are just a couple of ideas to round out your green activities. Take your own cup to your favorite coffee shop, you may even get a 10 cent credit.  Use hand dryers in public restrooms, instead of paper towels which are not recyclable.  Use cotton fabric rags to clean the house and save almost $72/month.  My new favorite: Throwing a party, instead of buying disposable tablecloths, go to a fabric shop.  Buy remnants of fabric and finish the edge.  Some large pieces can be bought for less than $2. Or buy flat sheets and cut to fit your tables.  Finish the edges and you have a new tablecloth for less than $5.     (more…)
