Where does the time go? It seems like last week we were just talking about our New Year’s Resolutions, candy or not for Valentine’s Day! Now it is time to get ready for SUMMER! The most (2nd) wonderful time of the year! Working on the annual SUMMERTIME FUN FOR FAMILIES. It should be ready first of June, check back. Weekly Tips for Jan. 17, 2011

It’s mid-Jan. Time to evaluate how your New Year’s resolution are going. Are you sticking with it? Are you struggling? If so try a little self exploration. Look at the inner & outer circumstances that are causing your resolve to ebb. Then evaluate what changes you can make in your life so you’re better geared to be constructive instead of destructive.

Getting back on track and motivated: Ask a buddy to go with you, keep a journal of your intake and exercise. Cut out one “non-healthy” item from your diet.  Cut down on “non-healthy” items such as chips, dips, ice cream, desserts, processed foods, sodium laden foods. You get the idea. Post your thoughts here so myself & others might be helpful.   Now on to the weekly tips.

In today’s Sunday paper by the Union Tribune, they had a great insert on “ARE YOU READY?” for the next 72 hours if you are in a disaster.  It had great and very useful and insightful information.  It looked like the perfect way to roll up all our tips (green, health and food) into one informative article.  However, the UT has not made it available on-line.  So back to the life of “bing” and “Google” and found these great sites.  So here are your weekly tips of green, health and food, all rolled into one.
