What a day!  Extremely proud to be an American!  I just heard a quote that is worth repeating, ‘This is a ‘I know where I was when…’ moments. I remember where I was when I found out about the attacks, and I will remember this.” Good riddance to an evil and heartless human.  The world is a better place. The utmost respect and admirations for our military!

Cinco de Mayo Events in San Diego

Cinco de Mayo is May 5, 2010.  What to do?  Here are a list of events in San Diego which has deep cultural roots in Mexican History.

On the Border  - food, live bands, beer/margarita gardens at all San Diego locations (Mission Valley, North County Fair, MiraMesa, El Cajon).

Fiesta de Reyes - in the heart of Old Town with bands, beer garden, food and free admission.

El Fandango - in Old Town State Park will have $15 margarita garden private party every day this week.

Casa Guadalajara - in Old Town, too.  This restaurant has great patios and incredible margaritas. (more…)

1. GREEN -  You want to be GREEN and help the planet, but don’t have the time? Now you do! On May 6, 2010, The SHRED-RED-FED event is being held in Carlsbad, CA.  On Thursday, you can shred your papers, donate blood, recycle your electronics and donate to San Diego Women’s Resource Center.  Not a local, start your own SHRED-RED-FED event. Better yet, clean out the basement, closets and garage and do your own donations, ask some neighbors to pitch in, too.  This is a great way to get all of these “chores” done in one stop! (more…)
