Meatless Casserole loved by ALL

This dish took 1st prize at the family BBQ! Everyone seemed to love it, and it is so easy and inexpensive to make. This would be a perfect dish for a BBQ at home (it would be hard to keep it at a safe temperature if you didn’t have an oven) or for a light lunch or dinner. (more…)

Scratched CD on the side of a mailbox     Old CD(s) are great for a number of things, obviously listening to them is kind of outdated.  Do you have a mailbox actually at the end of the driveway?  Take 2-3 old CD(s) and glue them to the sides of the mailbox, it makes them stand out in the day and reflective at night so they don’t get taken out by oblivious drivers. 3 Ingredient Banana Bread!

I like to have homemade treats throughout the week for my kids and stay away from the cookies, fruit snacks, etc.t I saw this recipe last week, tried it and it was a hit! Next time I am going to switch out the yellow cake mix for spice cake! Now, I know you are saying, but you use a “cake mix”, but you can get organic, low sugar, gluten free and other types of good cake mixes to use.

In my first try, I followed all three ingredients but added chocolate chips and cinnamon to mine. This is a no brainer. And oh, so YUMMY!

I have spent a month so far on my weight loss journey or rather my back to health journey.  Really I think that for me, I have to look at it as a health journey.  There remains that residual frustration when I view it as weight loss only.  I feel like I am trying to comport with the societal baloney about women needing to be a certain size and shape.  I then feel compelled to rebel which is odd b/c I am not a rebel.
